About Me.

Aloha! My name is Kara Scofield and I am from the Big Island of Hawaii. I graduated with a BA in Public Relations and Advertising and Graphic Design from Chapman University.

Fully immersed in my passion for advertising, I dedicated myself to the position of Account Manager and Production Artist at a full-service advertising agency - Shiny Objects. I was responsible for managing the clients' relationships through effective problem solving and creating creative briefs. With a strong detail to time management and calendars, I ensured project deadlines & budgets were met and sought approval of any changes. I handled all production tasks to assist the Art Directors to focus on larger-scale projects. I am well-versed in social media and internet communications and have a clear understanding of forming relationships and creating campaigns that innovatively convey personal brands and ideas. It was a pleasure to provide creative marketing to our clients such as LA Memorial Coliseum, Global Cash Card, and BlackDot Wireless.

Encompassing all of my knowledge I opened up my own advertising, marketing, and graphic design business - Lilikoi Creative. My focus is to provide branding and marketing to small businesses to create cohesiveness within the company. I have designed various marketing collateral that includes product packaging, landing pages, media assets, magazine ads, social media, and even a billboard on the 101. I found a niche in the evolving cannabis industry and developed and managed end-to-end marketing campaigns and paid media for various clients.

Networking through my own purchase of advertising space for my clients I started working at the publication - selling ads for the North Coast Journal and their other publications such as Humboldt Cannabis Magazine. I also generate and sign new business and clients for their full-service agency. In addition, I conceptualize comprehensive creative campaigns for clients and lead the team in the execution of the plan, direct creative content when necessary for the campaign or branding.
